# Accept an invitation

> Join the workspace groups granted by an invitation.

Requires an OAuth bearer token for the invited email address. A different account returns `403`; expired or no-longer-valid invitations return `410`; a missing invitation returns `404`. A workspace membership limit returns `409`. Success returns an `organization_id` and message. Acceptance, including a successful retry, selects the first workspace group granted by the invitation for your account. Subsequent UI, OAuth bearer, and MCP requests use that selection unless you switch workspaces. Refresh workspace memberships after acceptance.
