# Choose a transcriber

> Configure speech recognition for the language your callers use.

Open **AI connections → Transcriber** to set the workspace default, or enable a Transcriber override for an agent.

Choose an available provider, model, language, and credential, then save. Check that the provider account supports that language and model. **Bandwidth** is available through the Bandwidth transcription connection and its saved credential.

Test names, numbers, short answers, background noise, and the accents you expect. Review the transcript to distinguish recognition errors from incorrect agent instructions.
