# Bandwidth Agent Builder

> Build, test, and connect voice agents to your customers and applications.

Build a voice agent, connect it to your tools, and test a conversation in your browser. When you are ready, publish the agent for phone calls and application integrations.

## Choose how to build

Use **From a prompt** to describe the agent's role and behavior in one set of instructions. Use **Build a workflow** when you need explicit conversation steps and branching paths.

Both approaches let you configure voice behavior, connect tools, test changes, and review conversations. Start with a narrow task, such as answering opening-hours questions or collecting an appointment request.

## Open your workspace

Sign in to the [console](https://agents.labs.bandwidth.com) and select your workspace. If you need access, ask your workspace administrator. See [what you need](/getting-started/prerequisites) before your first test.

## Calling availability

Outbound calling is temporarily disabled. Use the [browser tester](/getting-started/quickstart) to test your agent, or [connect a phone number](/integrations/telephony/inbound) to receive incoming calls. Outbound API and campaign reference pages describe the API contract; they do not indicate that outbound calling is currently available.
