# Troubleshooting

> Resolve access, testing, calling, and integration issues from the console.

## I cannot create or change an agent

Check the workspace switcher and your [role](/core-concepts/roles-and-permissions). Viewers can review content. Editors and above can build and test agents; shared connections require Admin or Owner access. Manage user API keys through Labs. Phone and campaign controls also require the Labs `super_user` role.

## A browser test has no audio

1. Allow microphone access for the console in your browser and operating system.
2. Check the selected input and output devices and try headphones.
3. Open **AI connections** and confirm the required services and credentials are saved.
4. End the test before starting another. If the connection fails, retry on a network that allows browser voice calls.

## The agent uses old instructions

Save the draft, then test it. Production API routes use the published version. [Publish the draft](/voice-agent/publish) after you have verified it, and confirm that your integration targets the intended agent UUID or API Trigger UUID.

## An incoming phone call does not connect

Open **Phone numbers** and confirm the provider credentials and the number's **Inbound workflow** assignment. Follow the [provider setup](/integrations/telephony/inbound) and check the provider's call record for delivery errors.

Outbound calling is [temporarily disabled](/getting-started/index#calling-availability). Use a browser test or call the configured inbound number.

## An API request fails

Use the correct host and the Labs credential required by the endpoint. API-key requests also require your workspace ID. Check the HTTP status and response body before retrying. A run-start request can place a call even if your application loses the response, so check recent runs before submitting it again. See [authentication](/api-reference/authentication) and [errors](/api-reference/errors).

## A tool or webhook does not deliver data

Confirm the endpoint, HTTP method, credential, and parameter names. Test the endpoint from your own application, then inspect the tool or webhook result in the conversation. A webhook receiver should return promptly; save slow processing for your own background work.

## Get help

Ask your workspace administrator or contact [Bandwidth Labs](https://labs.bandwidth.com/). Include the agent ID, run ID, approximate time and timezone, and the visible error. Remove API keys, provider secrets, and unnecessary customer data from anything you share.
