# Connect phone numbers

> Set up a provider and phone numbers to receive incoming calls.

You need the Labs `super_user` role, Admin or Owner workspace access, a telephony provider account, and credentials for that account. The available providers are Bandwidth, Twilio, Telnyx, and jambonz; the configuration form lists the fields required by each provider.

## Add a connection

1. Open **Phone numbers** in the console.
2. Add a telephony configuration and choose your provider.
3. Enter the requested credentials and save.
4. Open the saved configuration and add your phone numbers.

You can keep multiple configurations in one workspace. A phone number belongs to a configuration; check both when assigning an agent.

## Receive calls

Assign an **Inbound workflow** to a number and complete your provider's [inbound setup](/integrations/telephony/inbound).

Outbound calling is [temporarily disabled](/getting-started/index#calling-availability).

Availability of destinations, caller IDs, and transfer behavior depends on your provider configuration. Test the actual route and destination before using it with customers.
