# Global node

> Share instructions across the conversation steps that need them.

Use at most one Global node in a workflow. Put shared facts, the agent's role, tone, and fallback behavior here.

Conversation nodes use these instructions when **Add Global Prompt** is enabled. Keep task-specific instructions on their individual nodes to make each step easier to test.

After changing Global instructions, test several conversation paths because the change can affect more than one step.
