# Create an agent

> Choose a prompt or workflow and prepare an agent for testing.

You need Editor access or above and saved [AI connections](/configurations/inference-providers).

1. Open **Agents** and select **Create Agent**.
2. Choose **From a prompt** or **Build a workflow**.
3. For a prompt agent, enter its name and instructions. For a workflow, choose a template or blank canvas.
4. Replace sample instructions with the facts and actions your agent should use.
5. Save and run a browser test before publishing.
