# Single Prompt agents

> Guide an agent with one prompt and attach the actions it needs.

Create an agent with **From a prompt** when one set of instructions can guide the conversation.

## Write the prompt

State the agent's role, task, tone, facts it may rely on, and what to do when it cannot help. Ask for information one item at a time and confirm important details before taking an action.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00.
If a caller asks to book, collect their name and preferred time.
Explain that the team will confirm the appointment.
If you do not know an answer, offer to take a message.

## Configure the conversation

Review the greeting, interruption behavior, and model settings in the editor. Attach the tools and knowledge the task needs. Describe when each action should be used and test the success and failure cases.

## Test and publish

Save a draft, start a browser test, and review the transcript. Check unexpected requests as well as the intended flow. Publish after the agent behaves as expected.
